Youth: 6th Grade to 12th Grade
In our youths’ formative years, God is actively at work in the formation of their lives.
As they journey through the challenges of junior high and high school, they need people in their lives to help them explore and affirm God's love and unique call to them.
Our Youth Ministry encourages faithful relationships between adults and youth. Young people value friendships with adults who listen to them and who are willing to stand with them and invite the question of where God is in their lives. Youth are encouraged to serve as acolytes or readers during the 9:00 a.m. worship service, attend Breakfast Club each Sunday, join our youth band, and join in fun outings and events throughout the year.
Bible Study: The Gospel of Mark
Each Sunday tweens and teens are invited to gather in the Rector's office
during Adult Forum (10: 15 - 11:00 am). Led by dedicated youth mentors,
this is a time for fellowship and formation. Currently we are using a book titled Friendship with Jesus to explore the Gospel of Mark. This book uses a type of Ignatian spirituality (guided imagery) to enter deeply into the story of our faith.
Jammin' at St. John's
Music can be a vibrant and wonderful path
towards a relationship with God. Our youth band
meets each Sunday from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
